Showstoppers rehearsals in full swing new production ready to go

WHAT a show they have in store this year. 'O What a Life' will be staged in Clondrohid Community Hall on April 2, 4, 5 and 6. Ticket bookings on (086) 8575153 after 3pm and tickets are now on sale.

Pre-booking is recommended to secure a seat! To date the group have given over €28,000 to various charities.

Rehearsals are now getting into full swing with all hands on deck, and with producer Catherine Long to keep an eye on all stages every task is achievable.

Not to give too much away they have songs from the world renowned show The Phantom of the Opera, Imelda May and Mick Jagger so a great nights entertainment is assured. Rehearsals began in September and with over two weeks to go, its all systems go.

Ann O'Connell PRO of Showstoppers, adds that without the help of all involved it would be impossible to stage such a production.

The commitment and energy from the people involved in costumes, back-drops, stage management is fantastic, they have great talent.


Unfortunately, Macroom Ploughing has to cancel their County Final again last Sunday due to inclement weather, and have rescheduled it for Easter Sunday March 31 at 12noon on the Casey Family lands in Coolcower Third time lucky hopefully.

On Saturday last in the U16 football league Clondrohid were at home to Carrig na bhfear.

The visitors held the upper hand and emerged victorious on the day.

Also on Saturday in the U12 'B' football league Clondrohid beat Ballilnhassig.


Saturday, March 30 - U16s 'C' hurling league: Clondrohid v Grenagh will take place in Clondrohid at 3pm.

Sunday, March 31 - Minor 'C' hurling league: Shamrocks v Clondrohid will take place in Shamrocks at 1pm.

Monday, April 1 - U11s football league: Clondrohid v Ballinora will take place in Ballinora at 3pm. As always fixtures can change so keep in touch with trainers or locally.


Holy Thursday Mass at 7.30pm, Good Friday, Ceremonies at 3pm and Stations of the Cross at 7.30pm Easter Saturday at 7.30pm
