Anyone struggling to find that perfect Christmas present for a music-mad loved one could do a lot worse than consider buying tickets for one of the acts already line-up to play the Live at the Marquee Music and Arts Festival next summer.

Next year will see the 15th outing of the festival, which since its inception back in 2015 has gone from strength-to-strength with each passing year, hosting a veritable 'who's who' of faces from the Irish and international music scene. Live at the Marquee 2019 is shaping up to continue in the same vein, with Aiken Promotions already having unveiled a raft of tops names set to grace the Docklands venue next June and July.

In keeping with the festival's ethos of promoting the very best Irish artists, the first tranche of acts announced for 2019 have a distinctively Celtic flavour.

As part of their national tour marking the 25th anniversary of their seminal album 'Goodbye Charlie Moonhead' perennial Irish favourites Aslan, one of the first acts to play the festival back in 2015, will make a welcome return to the venue on Saturday, June 8, with support from Damien Dempsey.

The gig will feature tracks from the album including 'Where's the Sun', 'Games', 'Sweet Time' and, of course 'the anthemic 'Crazy World'. They will also play crowd favourites including "This Is', 'Too Late for Hallelujah' and many more.  Fresh from a nine-date US tour and the release of his latest album 'Born For The Road', Irish country star Nathan Carter has announced he will play 'Marquee 2019' on Friday, June 14.

Following the release of their Greatest Hits package '40 Trips Around The Sun' Toto will bring their European tour to Cork the following night. Perhaps best known for the sing 'Africa', Toto has enjoyed a career spanning more than four-decades, releasing more than a dozen albums as a group, with individual band members also featuring on more than 5,000 albums by different artists - racking up a staggering half-a-billion sales.

Dublin-based rap duo Versatile will play the Marquee on Friday June 21, with the 2 FM' Live with Jenny Greene and the RTÉ Orchestra roadshow returning to the venue on Friday, June 28 having played to sold-out crowds there for the past two years.

Australian singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tash Sultana, whose iTunes topping EP 'The Notion' has racked up more than 200 million streams will play the Marquee on Wednesday, July 3.

The following night comedian Tommy Tiernan will return to the  venue, with Christy Moore set to made his by now traditional pilgrimage to the Marquee on Saturday, July 6.

Having played the Marquee back in 2006, multiple Brit and Grammy nominee David Gray will return to the venue the following night playing tracks from his extensive back catalogue and from his forthcoming album 'Gold In A Brass Age', his first for four-years, which due out in March of next year.
