In Tua Nua back on the road

Veteran Irish band In Tua Nua will bring their latest Irish tour to Cork's Cyprus Avenue on Friday, October 6.

Fronted by the instantly recognisable Leslie Dowdall, the band was one of the most exciting live Irish acts of the 1980's, touring extensively across Europe and the US and releasing nine top ten singles.

In addition to sharing stages with the likes of Bob Dylan, Fleetwood Mac and Eurythmics, the band also opened on a Simple Minds stadium tour and for U2 on the Irish leg of their 'Joshua Tree' tour.

The band officially disbanded in 1990, with members going onto enjoy solo success, including Dowdall who recorded two albums and the smash hit single 'Wonderful Thing'.

In Tua Nua reformed for some gigs in 2004 and again in 2012 when they played a blistering set at Electric Picnic.

Back together for the Irish tour the band has lost none of the sparkle that make them such a force during the 1980's.
