Sean Keane for opening night of Mallowfest
Sean Keane, considered by many to be the most distinctive voice in Ireland, will perform with his backing band in Mallow for the first time on Wednesday July 24, the opening night of Mallow Arts Festival 2019.
Although heavily influenced by traditional styles and values, Sean cannot be categorised simply as a traditional singer. Whether the songs are traditional, folk, country or blues, he applies a unique voice and individual style you will never forget.
Arts Festival chairperson Tadhg Curtis said that he was delighted that Sean would perform in Mallow. "We surveyed the audience coming out of the very successful Mary Coughlan concert last year and asked them who they would like to see in 2019 and Sean Keane was the name most frequently mentioned," he said.
The concert, in the Hibernian Hotel, is likely to sell out and concert-goers are advised to get their tickets early. Tickets priced at €25 are available from the Hibernian Hotel and on Eventbrite.ie.
