Alannah McEvoy has re-signed with Shelbourne Ladies FC for the 2018 season.

The Bray girl signed for the Dubliners in the summer of 2017 as they finished third in the WNL table but it was announced on Sunday that the 17-year-old had put pen to paper for a full season with the Tolka Park outfit.

McEvoy - a student at Loreto Bray - is the grandaughter of legendary footballer Andy McEvoy and is an underage Irish international.

Shels' season begins on Sunday with a visit to Wexford Youths but they were dealt a severe blow on Monday with the sudden departure of head coach Shaun Maher and manager Mark Leavy.

McEvoy will hope to have a new manager in-place soon to impress but she has a battle on her hands in the goalscoring department this year.

She may have bags of talent and bundles of potential but Shels have welcomed senior international Noelle Murray back to the club after a year of playing in Scotland with Glasgow City
