A brilliant day was enjoyed by all in attendance in Berryfield recently in memory of Madison Melia Harvey when the Enniskerry YC Legends clashed with the Enniskerry GAA Legends.

Enniskerry GAA stalwart Brendan Barton took home the Man of the Match award for the GAA team with three superbly taken goals.

Martin Melia scored a brilliant volley was also awarded a Man of the Match award for the Youth Club side.

The organisers said that it was great to see so many old faces in Berryfield for the game and hopefully they can build on it for next year and bring some more back to the club.

Noel Skelly and Martin Melia were the pick of the YC bunch while Jose Poveda, Fran May, Ben Doran, Derek Quigley, Neil Melia, Justin Melia, Willie Acres, Lar Mahony Snr, Lar Mahony Jnr, Dan Kelly, Stephen Barry, Alan King, Tommy Harvey, Gaz Conroy, Jordan Conroy and Paul Nugent all put in good shifts.

Goalscorers: Martin Melia, Justin Melia, Lar Mahony Jnr.

On the GAA side, Gary Kavanagh gave his usual effort in midfield, Gavin Barton was good in the middle with Brendan Barton clinical as always up front.

Stephen Blackbyrne, Keith Chadwick, Robbie Williams, Craig Williams, Mick McCabe, Colm Nugent, Sean Blackbyrne, Dave Melia, Seamus O'Gorman and Eoin Byrne all done well.

On loan players Robert Plunkett and Graham Mooney played their parts also.

Special thanks and well done again to the GAA club and especially Gary Kavanagh who is a legend for both clubs for making the day possible.
