The Manor House, a stately country home near Blessington, has gone on the market with a seven-figure pricetag.
The six-bedroom period property is located in Manor Kilbride.
The two storey over basement house has come on the market through Colliers international with a price tag of €2.25 million. It has been home to the Scully family for more than 50 years.
The current house was built in 1835 in the Elizabethan gothic style. The property has been carefully restored and maintained in recent years. The estate is set in 14 acres and includes parkland, fine woodland, a private lake, original courtyard, stables, walled garden and an orchard.
In recent times, the house has taken in guests in four rooms from May to September. It has also been used as a film location for commercials and other productions. In 2016, the Manor House was used as a primary location for an adaptation of the Shirley Jackson novel, We Have Always Lived in the Castle, starring Taissa Farmiga, Alexandra Daddario and Crispin Glover.
