Revenue seize €70,000 worth of drugs in raid at Bray house
Revenue officers seized around €70,000 worth of suspected herbal cannabis in a raid last Wednesday morning in Bray.
A man in his 40s was arrested and brought to Bray Garda Station.
He appeared in Bray District Court the following day for a section two bail application, held in camera.
The matter was adjourned to Clover Hill District Court at a later date.
The man arrested at the scene has been remanded in custody.
The search took place under warrant at a house in Bray. The amount seized was around 3.6kg.
The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue's Customs Service, Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Gardaí from the drugs unit in Bray Garda station. The man was detained under section two of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Bray Garda station. Investigations are ongoing.
This operation was part of ongoing joint investigations targeting drug importations.
