One injured in Pinewood Close premises fire

A fire occurred at the premises of a car dismantling business in the Pinewood Close area, last Thursday evening at around 5.30 p.m.

The area is located off the Boghall Road in Bray. Bray fire station and Greystones fire station were alerted to an 'Industrial Fire' at the premises.

Several vehicles were reported to be on fire. One person suffered burns to his arms and was treated at the scene by paramedics from the National Ambulance Service. He did not need to be admitted to hospital for treatment.

Compressed air foam was used to effectively extinguish the fire, which had produced very thick black smoke.

Neighbouring properties were accessed by fire fighters, to check for fire and to assist in clearing smoke.

Chief fire officer Aidan Dempsey said that there was nothing apparently suspicious about the incident.
