More success for St Peter's
There is just no stopping St. Peter's Primary School in Bray, which has earned yet another feather in its cap.
St. Peter's was part of the recent Excited Digital Learning Festival having already achieved wins in both Mathletes and the Eircom Spider Awards.
Students from the Bray school showed their work in Stem Subjects as part of the Young People at Excited element of the two-day festival at Dublin Castle. To the non-bright-spark, 'Stem Subjects' are science, technology, engineering and maths.
They showed their work to Minister Ciaran Cannon during the event which included a presentation by Sal Khan, the brains behind The Khan Academy and Mathletes.
'To everyone here who has given up a large part of the weekend to join us at Excited, my heartfelt thanks,' said Minister Cannon. 'What you have helped to create this weekend is not the end of a journey but the beginning of something very special in Irish education. Everyone in this room has the courage to lead and to inspire others to become leaders. And that's what this movement has to be about, not a one off event, but a constant and unrelenting drive towards excellence in education.'
