Marty Morrissey set to host Emmets sports lunch
RTE commentator and living legend Marty Morrissey will host the Bray Emmets GAA club sports lunch, taking place on Friday, September 6, at the Ballsbridge Hotel in Dublin at 1.30 p.m.
Special guests Niall Quinn, Alan Quinlan, and Pat Spillane will also be there.
They will attend for lunch, followed by discussions after the meal on hurling, football, soccer and rugby.
They will answer questions on the all-Irelands and how Ire;and will fare on two fronts in the autumn, with Marty stoking the flames.
Marty Morissey is Ireland's top GAA commentator and also presents a number of popular programmes on both RTE TV and radio.
A former club and university player of note, more recently he has opted to keep active by skipping the light fantastic as a top bopper on 'Dancing with the Stars'.
Niall Quinn is a former Dublin minor hurler who became a soccer star for the Republic of Ireland.
He forged a stellar career in England with Arsenal, Manchester City and Sunderland, before coming chief executive and chairman of the Wearside club.
After giving up the professional game, he turned to Gaelic football, lining out for Eadestown in County Kildare, where he won a junior county title in 2008.
Alan Quinlan is a former Shannon, Munster and Irish rugby star. Following his retirement in 2011, the Tipperary Town native became a commentator for ITV and RTE.
He now works with Newstalk Radio and Virgin Media.
He became Munster's most capped player in 2010 when he lined out against Toulon in the Heineken Cup.
Pat Spillane played for Kerry over a 17 year period and is the holder of eight All-Ireland and 12 Minster medals.
He was also selected as an All Star on nine occasions.
Since retiring, he has become a leading commentator on Gaelic Games both with RTE and the Sunday World.
The Templenoe club man, who is a former teacher, is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the game.
