Local area plan moves forward
Councillors were asked to consider the chief executive's report on submissions to the Draft Arklow and Environs Local Area Plan 2017.
Members of Arklow Municipal District had met earlier that day on Monday morning to discuss any amendments which were deemed appropriate.
Director of services Des O'Brien described the amendments as 'straightforward' with the National Transport Association and An Bord Pleanála among those making submissions.
Councillors voted in favour of moving the Draft Arklow and Environs Local Area Plan 2017 forward, with 22 voting in favour and 10 not present.
The chief executive's report should be ready for the December meeting. Submissions from the public are likely to come before councillors in February 2018.
