A 20-year-old game developer from Newtownmountkennedy has certainly caught the industry's eye, collecting two significant accolades in the last couple of weeks.

Josh Loveridge, who hails from Ballinahinch, has turned his pastime into a career, creating Loveridge Designs and looking forward to releasing his second game in October.

Earlier this month, Loveridge Designs was awarded Business All-Star Accreditation at Croke Park. This accreditation is an independent third-party seal of approval recognising quality businesses in Ireland. All-Stars also become part of The Register of Irish Business Excellence (TRIBE) and Josh has now become the youngest TRIBE member in the country.

'I'm extremely honoured to be awarded the coveted Business All-Star Accreditation,' said Josh. 'Receiving this accreditation is a testament to the results of hard work, dedication and the sheer willpower to succeed from all team and family members at Loveridge Designs.'

Hot on the heels of that success, Josh collected an Imirt Irish Game Award at the annual awards ceremony last Friday, September 19. Josh won the award for his game 'The One We Found', a first person survival horror experience, which he released last year on XBox.

Far from resting on his laurels, Josh is already looking ahead to the next big thing at Loveridge Designs - the release of his new game 'Castle Costume'. The game is a platform action-adventure set in a semi-open world environment and played from a third-person perspective. It will be released on Playstation and Ninetendo on October 31.
