Isobel to get the chop for charity
Isobel Bownes (10) from Kilmacanogue will cut 14 inches off her hair at Visit salon in Eden Gate, and donate it to the Rapunzel foundation.
Isobel's hair is her pride and joy and she has been growing it for her entire life. However when she saw a child on the Late Late Toy Show who had lost her hair due to treatment for cancer, the young girl decided to do something to help.
She has never had her
As well as donating her hair for a wig to be made for a child in need, she is asking for sponsorship to support the Gavin Glynn Foundation, and has so far raised more than €1,800.
The haircut will take place at the Delgany salon on May 3.

Isobel has also raised some money at her school, Kilmacanogue National School, and donations were made by local Montessori and pre-schools.
Her mum Niamh said that Isobel is a very caring child with a good heart.
Her brother Nathan (9) is a big supporter of his sister. He made the first donation to the cause, giving €10 from his own money.
