Greystones is where it's art!

Greystones Art Group will hold its annual exhibition in St. Patrick's Hall, Church Road from July 11 until July 14.

The exhibition is open from 11am until 9pm daily closing at 5pm on Sunday. Admission is free and there will be a raffle with all proceeds going to Greystones First Responders.


There is a wide range of summer camp activities at Shoreline Leisure Centre, Mill Road, Greystones.

Camps are run on a weekly basis until August 30 and cater for children aged between five and 13 years.

Eire Og Greystones is holding a hurling Cul Camp from July 15 until July 19 running from 10am until 2.30pm. The camp is open to children aged between 6 and 15 years. Each child receives a free GAA kit. Details from Colm Gaskin on 083 3937411.


Children's cookery classes with Louise Lennox will be held this summer for children aged between 8 and 12 years.

The classes which take place in July and August will be held at Greystones Lawn Tennis Club. Children will have fun while learning about food. The classes will cover baking, nutrition, healthy meals and food experiments. Log onto


Grape, Greystones Art and Photography exhibition continues at Greystones Harbour every Sunday throughout the summer from 12 noon until 5pm.

East Coast Cyclones will be holding their first open bout in Greystones on July 27.

Roller derby bouts are always run like mini festivals with food, merchandise, stalls a kiddies corner and half time entertainment, while the game itself is also fun to watch.

The local side will be playing the 'Viqueens' a Waterford based team who started up around the same time as them. The first whistle is at 2.30 p.m. in Shoreline Greystones but doors open at 2.

The theme of this roller derby bout is 'Debs ball' but with a surprise twist. Tickets are €10 or €7 concession, with free entry for children under 12.


Auditions for 'Shake Down the Town' treasure hunt TV show will be held in Greystones on Friday July 12.

The RTE show is looking for two local teams, each consisting of five family members, to compete against each other to crack the clues and be the first to unlock the safe.

Each team will have 3 code breakers, aged 10-12 years old, in the command base. Meanwhile 2 adults will be chasing around their local town trying to gather the numbers for the safe's combination lock.

Clues will lead each team to 4 locations within the town. At each location the teams must complete a challenge to retrieve a number for the safe's combination lock.
