Funeral held for popular Krysztof
The funeral took place yesterday of a man who passed away on the street in Bray last week.
Krysztof Rudnicki, from Bray, and formerly from Poland, died suddenly aged 33.
His remains were found in the Ravenswell area of the town at around midday on Thursday.
The gardai confirmed to this newspaper that they are not treating his death as suspicious.
His requiem mass was celebrated by Fr Krzysztof Przanowski in the Holy Redeemer Church, Main Street, Bray, yesterday afternoon at 4 p.m.
The high regard in which Mr Rudnicki was held by people who knew him was underlined by the tributes paid to him online with one person who knew him commenting on Rip.ie: 'What a lovely, polite man you always were. The people of Bray thought very highly of you and will remember you.'
Another person who signed herself simply as 'Bray mum' commented: 'May you find peace young gentle, handsome man. I didn't know your story but I would stop often and give you whatever change I could for a cuppa, you were always so grateful.'
Mr Rudnicki was described by another person as 'very sweet and gentle' while another person commented that he was 'well liked in Bray'.
They were sentiments echoed by many people who posted comments and tributes to a young man who was highly thought of by people who knew him throughout the Bray and surrounding areas
Mr Rudnicki was predeceased by his dad Jan.
He is survived by his loving mother Christina, sister Patricia Rytal, brother-in-law Daniel, niece Viktoria, nephew Michael, extended family and wider Polish community.
