After many months of dreaming for thousands of ticket-holders, one Win a Kool House entrant won the life-changing prize last Saturday night.

The draw for a brand new house in The Willows, Kilcoole, took place in Coláiste Craobh Abhann, with the community gardai on-hand to ensure fair play, and MC Laura Wood ready to congratulate the lucky winner, Dave Madden.

Dublin man Dave just bought his ticket in recent weeks and was almost lost for words when he received the all-important phone call at around 7.30 p.m. on Saturday.

'I can't believe it, I'm just pacing up and down the hall!' he told Laura Wood over the phone when she rang him with the news.

There was a huge round of applause in the hall when the crowd heard Dave say he'd been renting for the past ten or 12 years. He said his fiancée Corina, who was at Westlife at the time of the draw, would be joining him in the new Kilcoole property.

There were 9,200 tickets in the drum, but just one person fortunate enough to receive a new home.

Other winners include Marion Haug of Cork who won a cruise, Naomi Fisher from Wicklow who won a holiday, and Tony Broderick of Galway who won a 55" TV. Other prizes included a spa day for two, Apple iPad, and golf at Druids Glen.

Jeffrey Doyle of St Anthony's FC, which ran the competition in conjunction with the local GAA club, thanked everyone who supported the draw, and Derek Burton for facilitating the provision of the house.

Pappy Frawley of St Patrick's GAA in Kilcoole said that the draw had been a huge success for both clubs, as well as the community. He said that the money raised will mean the facilities for the kids will be out of this world.

Cathaoirleach of Greystones Municipal District Tom Fortune was among those to congratulate the two clubs on an exciting and successful draw.

Chartered accountant Patrick McGleenan was the independent adjudicator for the draw.
