Coast guard crew carries out rescues
Members of Greystones Coast Guard rescued a number of different people in the past 10 days.
On Saturday, July 27, during Bray Air Display, the coast guard boat was tasked to assist a broken down vessel off the coast of Kilcoole.
Wicklow Lifeboat were also tasked to that incident and towed the boat to Wicklow Harbour.
The following day, Sunday, July 28, the crew had been assisting with the King of Greystones triathlon, when called to a broken down vessell off Greystones. The vessell was drifting ashore and towed to Greystones.
Also on Sunday, July 28, Greystones Coast Guard was called to assist paramedics with a casualty at the cliff walk. A woman had fallen and had a lower leg injury. Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue, who were on duty at Bray Head for the air display, also attended. The patient was taken by stretcher to a waiting ambulance.
