Businesses in Greystones are being urged to participate in this year's window display competition, alongside the St Patrick's Day Parade.

Volunteers are also being invited to help out on the day as stewards.

Entry forms and details about volunteering for the parade are available are available from GreystonesMD@wicklowcoco.ie.

Entry forms are not required for the window display competition.

'We would like to see businesses getting involved by decorating their premises,' said district administrator Myra Porter. She said that businesses will all receive a letter in the coming days looking for their support.

'WE do need the business community to really get involved,' said Cathaoirleach of Greystones Municipal District Tom Fortune.

'It's a great community event, very well supported by the community of Greystones and the surrounding areas.'
