This year's Reggie Corrigan Open Door Golf Classic was a great success, with 17 teams taking part on the day.

The weather was kind to the competitors at Bray Golf Club with just a couple of short showers.

The teams enjoyed a three-course meal in the clubhouse followed by prize-giving, entertainment and a raffle.

The winning team of Gerry Lyster, David Orr, Brendan Walsh and John Lyster was sponsored by Megazyme.

'Many thanks to Barry Walsh for the entertainment and to everyone who entered a team, sponsored a tee-box and donated a prize,' said a spokesperson for Open Door.

This was the 13th Reggie Corrigan Open Door Golf Classic, championed by the Irish rugby legend. Open Door looks forward to the 2018 competition, with the date yet to be confirmed. This is the main Open Door fundraising event of the year.

Open Door provides a much needed service to adults with physical disabilities, living in north Wicklow and south County Dublin. Activities include physiotherapy, art, woodwork, music and ceramics which each have a positive impact on members' lives.
