Smiley's Charity Events have chosen Wicklow Homeless Five Loaves Bray as their chosen charity for 2019.

As part this Sean's old school St Cronan's Bray held a food collection for the homeless charity.

Smiley's charity events was set up by Monica Madden who lost her son Sean in a car crash in July 2014.

Sean went by the nickname 'Smiley'.

He was a former pupil of St Cronan's. Children at the school collected a large number of food items to donate to Five Loaves.

Earlier in the month, they held a bucket collection at Bank of Ireland in Bray, raising a total of €540.

Each year, the group holds a Halloween fancy dress night for a different charity, and other events to support the cause.

Previous organisations to have been supported by Smiley's Charity Events include Bray CFR and My Canine Companion.

Sean's mother Monica said that the children of St Cronan's put a huge amount of effort into collecting the food items for the homeless charity. The food will be given to WH Five Loaves for donation to people in need.
