Confirmation Classes: As our Confirmation Service is on Sunday, April 14, at 3 p.m., we are planning to re-start our classes at 12.15 p.m. each Sunday listed as follows - Classes will be held this Sunday and on Sundays January 20, January 27; February 3, 10th ; March 3, 10th, 24th, 31st, and April 7.

Refurbishment of Holy Redeemer Church and Parish Centre: As announced recently plans are being prepared to refurbish our church and Parish Centre during this year subject to raising the required funds. You are invited to pick up our special pamphlet on the way out of Mass today, if you haven't received one already. All contributions, large or small, will be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all of you who have already contributed to this worthwhile project. If you haven't done so yet you can return your donations/pledge form to the parish office or drop it into the sacristy at your convenience. Where your contribution exceeds €250 in any one year a refund of tax paid can be claimed by the parish from Revenue under the Charitable Donations Scheme. The parish office will make the necessary arrangements to make this claim.
Signed Mass Cards: Are looked after by the priests of the parish and are available only in the parish office or in the sacristy.
Confirmation 2019: This Sunday at the 6 p.m. Mass we extend a warm welcome to the children and their parents who are preparing for Confirmation in 2019.

The Coffee Dock: The Coffee Dock re-opened last Monday after the 10 a.m. Mass.

QOP youth club
Queen of Peace Adventure Youth Club reopens on Friday, January 11, with a proposed and enlarged programme for the year for ratification by the membership. The number of events proposed are well in excess of 120 with many new and challenging items.
Wicklow Aquanauts (Bray Divers) is the least expensive sub-aqua club in the country to join at the present. The instructors enjoy training new members to partake in the sport, and the certification is recognised worldwide. A dive trip to Lanzarote is planned for the middle of February, and trainees who join now may be experienced sufficiently to come along on this holiday. Meetings of the Bray Cualann Historical Society, the local history society for Bray and North Wicklow will resume at 8 p.m. on January 16 in the Royal Hotel, Bray when the AGM of the society will take place and will be followed by a talk by James Scannell recalling 'The Closure of the Harcourt, Street, Dublin - Bray line, December 31, 1958' to mark the 60th anniversary of the line's closure. All members are requested to attend the AGM - admission for visitors to the talk - €5.

Members and supporters of the Bray Cualann Historical Society are asked to note that January 12 is the last date to obtain a copy of the Old Bray Society's special issue of the Bray Historical Record - 'First World War Special Issue' which recalls those from county Wicklow, who took part in this conflict from the Town Hall Bookshop, 23 Florence Road, Bray, before this renown bookshop closes.

One Act Drama Festival
The Bray One Act Drama Festival 2019 will be bringing a wonderful mix of comedy and drama to the stage. Performed by both newcomers and seasoned performers, these plays are sure to provide five nights of entertainment, with all proceeds going to charitable causes.
We are delighted to welcome Chrissie Poulter back to the festival as our adjudicator, and of course, the loyal festival audience who support the Bray One Act Festival each year.
