Fr Peter McVerry gave an inspirational talk about his work with the homeless, when he was the guest speaker at 'Five Artists for Five Loaves'.

The special event was held to launch a range of cards designed especially for Wicklow Homeless Five Loaves by Yanny Petters, Brigid O'Brien, Biddy Scott, Aideen Griffin and Maura Ryan.

The evening was very well attended and enjoyed by everyone present.

The cards created by the five artists will be sold to support the ongoing work of WH Five Loaves.

The Five Loaves centre on Albert Walk is open during the day to provide a hot meal, a shower, tea, or company.

There is help with such things as filling out forms if wished, or directing someone to the correct agency. They also provide some supplies and basic groceries for those in need.

Five Loaves has a housing scheme called Arc Housing which has been very successful, and they run a charity shop out of Bray Recycling Centre.

They recently installed a shower at the centre on Albert Walk, a very welcome facility for those who need to use it.
