Two Bray venues emerged victorious at last week's Lovin' Dublin awards.

The Harbour Bar and Platform Pizza have been crowned best bar and received the award for best pizza respectively at the Lovin' Dublin Restaurant Awards.

The ceremony took place last Tuesday night in the Morrison Hotel.

The Bray bar and its sister restaurant teams are said to be ecstatic at the win.

This followed the results of a public vote.

'We'd like to say a huge thank you to all our loyal customers for voting and helping us to take the top awards home to Bray,' said a representative of the businesses.

This was no the Harbour Bar's first taste of success when it comes to awards.

The pub was named the world's best bar by Lonely Planet in 2010. This also followed a public vote.

'This bar has an amazingly diverse crowd and a unique look,' reads the Lonely Planet report. 'The bar is littered with original antiques and interesting bric-a-brac, accumulated over 80 years, by three generations of the O'Toole family. The Harbour Bar offers a truly authentic Irish pub experience as an antidote to the sterile atmosphere of some modern pubs.' While ownership has changed to the Duggan family since then, the spirit of the Harbour remains the same.
