Gomez and Morticia Addams and their family took to the Mermaid stage last week with their all-singing all-dancing musical.

This was brought to audiences by Sheevawn Musical Youth Theatre's seniors.

The cast and crew worked extremely hard to prepare their darkly funny production 'The Addams Family: The Musical'.

Following previous renowned sell-out performances of Legally Blonde, Les Misérable and Hairspray, SMYTH returned to mermaid with the gleefully ghoulish musical.

Based on the characters created by Charles Addams, and featuring a wonderful musical score by Andrew Lippa, the story shows the family trying to hide their macabre tendencies for the sake of the daughter Wednesday's love life.

Audiences thoroughly enjoyed the hilarious comedy which ran for four nights at the Bray theatre.

The team included makeup, backstage, lights, sound and a very talented band.

Sheevawn Musical Youth Theatre has announced that next year's shows will include Beauty and the Beast for the junior, Cats for inters, and West Side Story for the seniors.

Enrolment is on August 25. Go to sheevawn.com. Classes take place on Saturdays in Coláiste Ráithín.
