Wicklow's newest festival had to stop earlier than expected on Sunday due to some heavy rainfall.

The Summerland Music Festival took place in the Abbey Grounds and was due to feature Soulfood DJs, The Rituals, The Jexit, Sion Hill, The Receipts, Hawke, Ryan Mack and The Four of Us.

However, the heavens opened up some time before headline act The Four of Us were due to go on stage.

The ongoing severe weather caused the stage to flood. Organisers were hopeful that the weather would clear in time to allow for the Newry band to perform, or that an alternative venue could be located. Unfortunately, the remainder of the concert had to be cancelled due to health and safety concerns.

The seven other acts who made up the full line-up got to perform. Complimentary tickets are also available for next year's event for those that stayed to the end on Sunday.
