Crois Dearg Drama Group return with hilarious comedy
Crois Dearg Drama Group return after a few years absence and will take to the stage in Glenealy Village Hall over three nights for its production of 'Widows' Paradise.'
The hilarious comedy by Sam Cree is a farce in which five women travel to stay in a caravan in the Ards peninsula, some trying to get away from their male partners and others hoping to find some. The play was performed for the first time ever in September of 1966.
Directed by Billy Armstrong, there's a full cast and crew of local talent involved.
Rehearsals have been taking place for the past number of weeks in preparation for their latest production.
Known for their professional-like productions, Crois Dearg will not disappoint with this play and a purpose-built set also made by the very creative Billy Armstrong.
The drama group was formed in 1998 by a group of people who had for many years been involved in light entertainment, variety shows, John Player tops, etc with the local Redcross Macra Na Feirme Club.
Tickets are priced at €12 and concessions are €10.
