Comedians join line-up for Groove

The laughter may drown out the music as a host of top comedians take to the stage at the new 'Live Lounge' at the Groove Festival.

Eric Lalor, Lisa Casey, Aoife Dooley and Danny O'Brien will be among those bringing the belly laughs when the Groove Festival returns to Killruddery House and Gardens on July 7 and 8.

Musical headliners this year will be the Fun Lovin' Criminals and Heather Small on the main stage while The Stunning, Something Happens, The Riptide Movement and HamsandwicH are also on the bulging list of performers.

Groove's come and go entry system is unique and allows festival fans to exit and re-enter the site. Particularly useful for families, this means they can enjoy the daytime, drop the little ones home with a babysitter then come back for an evening out to enjoy all the festival fun of music, comedy, activities and food.

Tickets start at €65.50 for adults, €27.50 for teenagers and €11 for kids.

Comedian Adam Burke of Bray's Hardy Har Comedy Club has worked with the festival to curate the new 'Life Lounge' area.

A second date has been added to Adam's show in the Mill Theatre this summer. The show, entitled 'The Big Happy Head On Ya!' will be on in Dundrum on July 14, with the June performance sold out.
