Meitheal, an exhibition featuring the work of Signal Arts Centre staff artists, past and present, is under way at the Albert Avenue gallery in Bray.

The exhibition opened on Monday and runs until Sunday, October 14. This year's show is exciting and varied, with a wide ranging display of artistic practices.

For this year's exhibition artists will be exploring the concept of beauty in its many forms.

An often cited truth about art is that it is subjective. Endless ideals of beauty have existed in art, in different cultures and through time.

There are now more interpretations and unconventional representations of beauty in art today than ever. This exhibition showcases how this group of artists are considering and representing their own view of beauty in their diverse styles.

An opening reception will take place on Friday, October 5, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The gallery is open seven days a week.
