Still all to play for at the top of Division 3

NAOMH FIONNBARRA got the better of Stabannon on Friday night to stay joint top of Division 3 with Roche Emmets.

Stabannon started brightly and were two points up through scores from Thomas McBride and Sean Halpenny before Naomh Fionnbarra got their first point after 10 minutes through William Woods.

Stabannon extended their lead to two points after 15 minutes with a point from Colm Giggins but it was to be their last point of the half as Naomh Fionnbarra took complete control and recorded four points before half time, to lead 0-5 to 0-3.

Naomh Fionnbarra started off the second half as they finished the first half and added a goal from Woods and three points without reply to lead 1-8 to 0-3 with 15 minutes remaining. Both teams exchanged points for the remainder of the game as Naomh Fionnbarra held out for a deserved victory.
