Four-midable Dreads make club history
DREADNOTS Ladies made history by reaching the first ladies adult final in the club's history.They travelled to Dunleer to take on a fancied Stabannon side in the semi-final after accounting for local rivals St.Fechins in the last eight.
Dreadnots made a blistering start to the game scoring 3-2 in the opneing ten minutes to leave Stabannon reeling. Ann-Marie Lynch scored 1-2, while Amy McMorrow and Olivia Kirwan netted a goal a piece.
Stabannon steadied and scored points before Kaleigh Reilly, McMorrow and Lynch replied with singles to leave the score 3-5 to 0-3 on 20minutes.
Stabannon again rallied with two more points but Dreadnots were relentless and Lynch with another brace and McMorrow made it 3-8 to 0-5 at the break.
The second started with Stabannon raising the white flag and at the other end Michelle Moore brought a brilliant save from Nicole Barry in the Stabannon goals.
However, three minutes later substitute Lisa Devlin made no mistake to score her side's fourth goal and effectively putting the game beyond Stabannon.
Ann-Marie Lynch scored the last four points of the game to cap a fine personal performance and send the Dreadnots into the decider against Killkerley.
