Sinead hopes new single is a Christmas cracker

KNOCKBRIDGE singer/songwriter Sinead McNally will be playing her latest self-penned release 'Nearly Christmas' when she takes to the stage at The Spirit Store this Saturday, November 30.

Sinead was joined by a group of local children recently for the recording of the single and accompanying video which she hopes will become one of Ireland's biggest Christmas hits ever.

Sinéad wrote the song a few years ago when she was a primary school teacher. The principal asked her class to perform at the Christmas concert that year and she wrote the song especially for the occasion.

Since leaving the teaching profession, Sinead has always planned to record and release the song, such was the popularity of it with the children and teachers.

She was joined by a group of children aged eight to 14 for the recording of the feel-good festive video by local film maker James Mulholland recently.

The single was released last Friday and it has already been spotted by several radio stations both at home and abroad.

'The radio stations are delighted to have a brand new Christmas song that has huge potential, with some saying that it is right up there with the most successful and well-known Christmas songs,' said a delighted Sinead.

The song is available to download from iTunes and all digital music stores and streaming services.
