ARE you looking for a challenge? Maybe you are celebrating a big birthday soon and want to do something adventurous, or perhaps you want to brag to your mates down the pub on a Friday night. If this is the case then maybe we have the thing for you.

The local scouts are organising the second annual abseil down the Crowne Plaza Hotel. After last year's huge success it was decided to make it an annual event.

Standing on the edge of the rooftop of the 14 storey hotel, one of the tallest buildings in Dundalk, leaning over backwards may sound just a little bit crazy, but its days like these that you will remember in life, and every time you pass the iconic hotel you will be able to say 'I jumped down the side of that!'

This year's ' Come Down The Crowne' event will take place on Sunday June 27th and there will be plenty happening around the hotel on the day.

Last year 83 people abseiled down the hotel and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It is of course totally safe, as along with the abseil rope you will be attached to a safety rope, and professional instructors will be on hand to offer advice.

Due to the scale of the event, places are limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Participants must be at least 14 years of age.
