Lotto luck for two Louth winners

There were two big lotto winners in Louth this week as the country was still abuzz following the recent €175million EuroMillions win in Naul, County Dublin.

€2,497,727 was the jackpot win from Saturday night's Lotto draw. and the lucky shop that sold the golden ticket is Maddens Centra in Big Street, Termonfeckin, near Drogheda.

'This is absolutely fantastic news and people in Termonfeckin are buzzing with news of the Lotto jackpot win,' Ray Madden said on Sunday. 'This is a very busy shop we have a staff of 38 and most of our customers are local.

Another Centra store, located in Dromiskin, Co. Louth, sold Friday night's €500,000 EuroMillions Plus top prize ticket.

'I am friendly with James Hallinan whose Centra shop in Dromiskin sold the EuroMillions Plus winning ticket on Friday night so Centra also has lots of celebrate!' he added.

The lucky local winner has so far managed to evade the media frenzy of the Naul Family Syndicate and despite rumours buzzing around the village as to who won, no one has been confirmed as scooping the prize.

National Lottery CEO, Dermot Griffin, said: 'What an incredible two weeks we have had in the National Lottery! We have created several millionaires with the big EuroMillions jackpot win, two Lotto jackpot wins, a EuroMillions Plus win and a Daily Millions win.'
