A summer of sunshine and showers was the perfect opportunity for Longwalk Shopping centre to introduce the new cycle facility to keep bikes safe and dry!

The new Cyc-Lok bicycle storage system has been a hit with town centre cyclists since it was launched at the shopping centre in the last few weeks.

Cyc-Lok is an on demand, short term bike parking system which allows cyclists the facility to park their bikes in a locker, ensuring that their bikes and belongings will be secure and dry until they return.

Cyclists have the option to park their bikes for as long as they wish and only pay for the time they use. Access to the lockers and payment is completed through the app, the cost is just €1.00 per hour, €2.00 for up to 3 hours and €3.00 for 3 to 12 hours. To use simply download the Cyc-Lok app to your phone and enter your details. Booking and payment is instant via the app.

Elaine McGeough, shopping centre manager in Longwalk said, 'We are delighted to have Cyc-Lok here in Longwalk Shopping Centre. This is one of Cyc-Lok's first public installations outside Dublin and is part of Longwalk's ongoing program in support of a cleaner environment.'

Stephen Murphy, CEO, from Cyc-Lok Ltd added 'We are very pleased to start the roll out of our Cyc-Lok bicycle lockers around Ireland with this installation in Longwalk Shopping Centre, and we know that Dundalk cyclists will quickly appreciate the benefits of Cyc-Lok. We look forward to many more installations in the area in the near future.'
