King of the road!

WEEKEND revellers on Park Street could scarcely believe their eyes when they saw a goat running up the street in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Brubakers manager Aidan Burns was standing outside the popular Park Street venue when he saw the black and white goat running up the street a head of a Nissan Skyline car at 12.30am on Sunday.

He captured footage, pictured above, of the animal as it made its way towards the traffic island outside Grant's Newsagents and uploaded it to Brubakers Facebook page where it has received over 500 likes.

'I don't know what happened to the poor thing but I phoned the Gardai who were aware that a couple of lads were driving around town with a goat in the boot of their car. Hopefully it didn't come to any harm.'

Meanwhile, Brubakers are having their grand re-opening on Valentine's Night – no goats invited.

And a goat of a different colour was spotted at the Louth match in Drogheda on Sunday with a picture of the white goat outside the grounds being posted on
