Gardai continue to investigate stabbing

Garda are continuing their investigations an incident in which a young man was stabbed as he walked home in the Oakland Park area of Cox's Demesne last Monday night, July 29 around 10.20pm.

The man in his 20s was found on the ground in the area with a number of stab wound to his back.

He was treated at the scene by ambulance personnel and taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, where he was treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí from Dundalk responded to a call from ambulance control around 10pm on Sunday August 4 that a man had fallen from a roof at Park St, Dundalk. The man was taken to hospital by ambulance but gardai say the extent of his injuries aren't known.

A fire which destroyed hundreds of bales of hay in a shed in the Mullacrew area in the early hours of Monday morning is being treated as suspected arson.

The alarm was raised around 3.40am and fire crews from Dundalk and Ardee attended at the scene.

Approximately 300-440 bales of hay were set alight.

Gardai say that a technical examination of the scene will determine the course of the Garda investigation, but that it is being treated as 'suspicious' at this time.
