First LEADER grant aid funding issued
Spring 2017 saw the launch of the LEADER programme in Co. Louth and it is great to see the first payment of grant aid reach a promoter before the year is out.
G&M Precision, based in the Coes Road in Dundalk, applied for funding in April of this year and this week the Chairman of Louth Local Community Development Committee (LCDC), Cllr. Liam Reilly, is delighted to announce the first payment of Grant Aid under the current programme.
Joe McGuinness, Chief Officer of the Louth LCDC, has said that 'almost €250K has been approved for projects in County Louth since the LEADER programme was launched, with a lot more projects in the pipeline for 2018.'
Louth Leader Partnership, as the Implementing Partner of the LEADER programme, have worked very closely with the promoters to get the project to this stage and Frank O'Brien, Chairman of Louth Leader Partnership, has said that 'G&M Precision are an example of what the LEADER programme is about, in that, sustaining and creating jobs in the County, is one of the main focuses of the Programme.'
Andrew Murphy of G&M Precision said this week that 'the grant aid received from the LEADER programme allows our company to be more cost efficient and helps sustain jobs in the County."
