Dundalk IT will have four students in the Irish National Skills Finals next week at Ireland Skills Live in RDS Simmonsocurt.

For the first time, the National Skills Finals will be held in public and contestants such as Dearbhla Moriarty in Cookery will literally be cheffing up a storm live in the RDS against her competitors.

Also of Dundalk IT, Declan Moore competes in the Automotibile Technician category, Denis Glifford is in Electrical Installation and Mark Wasson will be showing his skills in Joinery.

Toolfix of Dundalk are providing all the tools to be used over the massive three day event in RDS Simmonscourt.

Ireland Skills Live incoporates for the first time under one roof the National Skills Finals, a Try A Skills area, a Heroes stage and a Careers and Education zone.

The winners of the National Skills Finals will be announced at the medals ceremony on the evening of Saturday March 23 and many will go on to represent Ireland at the World Skills Finals in Kazan in Russia in August.

Saturday March 23 is Family Day at Ireland Skills Live RDS Simmonscourt Dublin, and the public are welcome, admission free. Thursday and Friday March 21, 22, are sellouts.
