Council plan 22 new houses in Cox's Demesne

Local authority have advertised plans for new social houses

Louth County Council have confirmed plans for 22 new residential units in Cox's Demesne.

The new homes, which will be built as part of the Cox's Demesne Regeneration Phase 2B, are proposed for lands off the Castletown Road at Aisling Park.

It is planned that the development will consist of the removal/modification of existing boundary walls/fencing on site and the provision of 22 residential units comprising of 4 two storey three bed units, 2 two storey four bed units, 2 single storey two bed units and 14 apartments comprising 6 one beds and 8 two beds.

The new housing scheme would also require a new internal distributor road providing access to the site from Patrick Tierney Crescent/Ecco Road to the East and Aisling Park to the West, as well as two new raised table junctions on the Ecco Road at the entrance to Patrick Tierney Crescent and the entrance to Aisling Park.

There would be two way vehicular access into the site from Aisling Park and Patrick Tierney Crescent/Ecco Road with pedestrian access from Aisling Park, Ecco Road/Patrick Tierney Crescent and the Castletown Road.

As well as this there would be an extension of the existing shared surface from Aisling Park up to the boundary of numbers 12 and 13 Patrick Tierney Crescent, a new play area, varied site boundary treatment comprising walls and fencing, temporary construction signage, estate signage and all associated site works.

Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy from tomorrow Tuesday 29th May 2018 up to and including 26th June 2018 inclusive during public opening hours at the following locations; Louth County Council, Millennium Building,St Alphonsus Road, and Louth County Council, Town Hall, Crowe Street, Dundalk.

Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development is situated may be made in writing to arrive no later than: 5.00 p.m. on 10th July 2018 to the undersigned at the following address: Senior Executive Officer, Housing Department, Louth County Council, Millennium Centre, Dundalk, Co. Louth

Submissions should be clearly marked "Part 8 Coxs Demesne Regeneration Phase 2B"
