Carlingford / Omeath Lotto

THE Carlingford / Omeath parish lotto draw took place on Tuesday night last.

The jackpot on offer was €15.000 but the four numbers drawn, 12, 22, 24 and 28, were not matched. There was one 'match three' winner, P. Boyle, Omeath, who receives the €150 prize.

The draw continues this week with a jackpot of €15,000.


Carlingford's Indoor Craft and Food Fair takes place on the first Sunday of every month throughout the year.

The next Fair is on Sunday October 6th. Come along and browse through the delicious food & hand made craft stalls in St. Michael's Hall, Carlingford, from 12 noon until 6 p.m. Admission is free and all are welcome.

The Cooley Genealogical and Historical Society has organised a talk in Long's Pub, Grange. It takes place on Friday October 11th and the subject is 'Land of Legends' when Louth's Celtic Mythology will be explored. It commences at 8 p.m. and refreshments will be served. Anyone interested in genealogy classes is asked to get in touch with 085-1833110.


Calling all singers, dancers, musicians and performers. Have you got what it takes to be the Peninsula's Number 1 Act! All artists are invited to take part for a guaranteed 1st prize of €1,000. It is open to all acts and all ages.

There will be a special Mass and Blessing for grandparents in St. Mary's Church, Ravensdale, on Saturday evening next, October 5th.

This will be during the vigil Mass which commences at 7.30 p.m. All grandparents are invited to attend along with their grandchildren. Light refreshments will be served in the Parochial House afterwards.
