Arthur's Day in Carlingford

CARLINGFORD will toast 'Arthurs Day' this Thursday with an exciting line up of live acts performing at PJ O'Hare's.

Arthur's Day has been running now since 2009 and has become more popular every year. To join the 2013 celebrations on Thursday PJ's are kicking off the festivities at 5.30pm with three live bands and a complimentary pint of Guinness and refreshments at 1759hrs for the big toast 'to Arthur!'

The bands include Cold Porter, The Lettermen, and 'Relax' Ireland's 80s tribute band.

Thursday will be a double celebration for the popular Carlingford bar and eaterie after it was crowned winner of the 'Chowder of the year at the Togher Food Festival on Saturday.

The trophy was picked up on the day by proud proprietor Michael Heaney who is delighted to add this achievement to the growing collection of awards including a selection of prestigious titles from the Restaurant Association Of Ireland.

PJ O'Hare's were competing among the North East's best restaurants and came out tops which all staff are rightly proud of. Needless to say, head chef Lisa McCabe's secret recipe is the envy of many!
