SOME 25 transition year students travelled to Galway with teachers Ms Nic Enrí and Ms Logan recently.

The group visited Connemara where they were brought on a guided tour of the studios of Raidió na Gaeltachta.

They then took a ferry to Inis Mór (the largest of the Aran Islands) where they were taken on a bus tour and then a walk up to the prehistoric fort of Dún Aengus.

The following day, the students were brought on a tour of Galway city's historical sights.

The group enjoyed a leisurely walk from the Claddagh to the promenade in Salthill. Galway Bay sparkled in the bright October sunshine.

In the evenings the group went bowling and to the cinema. Everyone enjoyed the three-day trip immensely.
