Water disruption in Muirhevnamor as Irish water carries out maintenance

Householders and properties in the Muirhevnamor area are likely to be affected by the latest round of maintenance works being carried out by Irish Water, the Argus has learned.

The works, which are already under way across an extensive area of the town, could affect hundreds of homes and businesses.

A statement issued by Irish Water confirmed 'We wish to advise that due to essential maintenance there will be disruption and/or shut off to the water supply in the Muirhevnamor area of Dundalk from 8.30a.m on August 29th 2017 until 6pm on September 12th 2017.'

The company advised that the disruption to supply 'may result in reduced pressures and discoloration in this area.'

The areas affected will be across Muirhevnamor and along Tom Bellew Avenue on to the Avenue Road, and will include Medebawn, Aghameen Park, Doolargy Avenue, College Manor and Hoeys Lane.

Irish Water have apologised to all service users for any inconvenience caused.
