Recent deaths

Dessie Malone, formerly of 10 Crescent 1, Muirhevnamor, Dundalk, whose death occurred peacefully on 5 November, 2017, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Husband of the late Sadie and beloved father of Briege, Desmond, Sean, Patricia and Andrew.

Sadly missed by his sister Miriam and brother Seamus. Will be reposing at his son Andrew's residence in Plaster, Mountpleasant, from Monday, until removal on Wednesday at 10:15am for 11am Requiem Mass in the Redemptorist Church, followed by cremation in Dardistown cemetery. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, son and daughters-in-law, brother, sister, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family and friends.

Rita McArdle (née Kieran), Station Road, Castlebellingham, and late of Shelagh, Hackballscross, whose death occurred, in her 79th year, on 5 November, 2017, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Funeral arrangements later.

Monica (Mona) Muckian, Meadow Grove, Dundalk, and formerly of Lurgankeel, Kilcurry, and Glasnevin, Dublin, whose death occurred peacefully in Dealgan House Nursing Home, in her 98th year, on 5 November, 2017. Predeceased by her parents Peter and Elizabeth, brothers and sisters. Deeply regretted by her nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. Reposing at her home from 3pm on Monday. Removal on Tuesday evening at 5.45pm to St Joseph's Redemptorist Church arriving for evening prayers at 6 o'clock. Funeral Mass on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Burial afterwards in Kilcurry Cemetery.

Susan Hayes (née McDonnell), Sandfield Gardens, Blackrock, and formerly of Lough Egish, Co Monaghan, whose death occurred peacefully in the wonderful care of Moorehall Lodge, Ardee, on 3 November, 2017. Susan, much loved wife of the late Jim and loving twin sister of the late Kathleen, also predeceased by her sisters Molly, Gretta, Clare and Nan. Deeply regretted by her children, Anne (Gower), Bernadette (O'Sullivan), Fiona (Flynn) and Brian and her grandchildren Barry, Stephen, Alan, Katie, James, Susan and Catherine and great grandchildren Jacob, Eva and Nathan, sons in law, daughter in law, relatives and friends. Reposing at Moorehall Lodge from 3pm to 7pm on Sunday. Removal on Monday morning at 10.15am to St Oliver Plunkett Church, Blackrock, arriving for Mass at 11 o'clock. Burial afterwards in St Fursey's Cemetery, Haggardstown.

Tommy Lynch, The Coast Guards, Lower Point Road, Dundalk, and and formerly of Clogherhead, whose death occurred, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, on 3 November, 2017. Tommy, deeply regretted by his loving grandnephew Jonathon, relatives, all his carers and friends in The Coast Guards. Reposing at The Coast Guards, Lower Point Road, from 4 o'clock until 8 o' clock on Sunday evening and from 11 o'clock on Monday, with removal at 5.30pm, arriving to The Redemptorist Church, for 6 o'clock funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11 o'clock. Burial afterwards in Calvary Cemetery, Drogheda.

Emilio Del Duca, 206 Greenacres, Dundalk, whose death took place on 30 October, 2017, peacefully, at his home surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness bravely borne. Predeceased by his father Vincenzo. Emilo, beloved husband of Marian and dear dad of Vinny, Franco, Tony, Teresa and Angela. He will be sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters, mother Esterina Dimanno, brothers Antonio and Raffaele, daughters-in-law Fiona and Kaitlin, grandchildren Ryan, Sarah, Lachlan and Emilia, sister in-law Gisella, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, relatives and friends. Reposing at his residence in Greenacres, from Monday evening 6pm to 10pm and Tuesday 12 noon to 10pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.30am, proceeding on foot to Tony's Grill, Avenue Road, then driving to Saint Patrick's Cathedral, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Dundalk.
