Men's Shed rocking horse raffled
The wonderful hand crafted rocking horse made by Dundalk Men's Shed has a new owner after a raffle was held at the Bargain House, Coe's Road, Dundalk on Sunday December 16.
A cheque for €1,500 - part of the raffle proceeds - was also presented to Patricia Ward, Principal, St Brigid's School Dundalk.
The remainder of the proceeds will go towards the running costs of the Dundalk Men's Shed and the members of the shed would like to thank everyone who supported the raffle, for all their kindness and generosity.
Ms Ward thanked the shed for their donation to the school. A prize was also presented to her for the winner of 'Name the Horse', which was won by Tom, a pupil at St Brigid's, who named the beautiful rocking horse, 'Bob'.
The rocking horse was won by Rachel Power. Second prize, a DPL voucher, went to Geraldine Greene. 3rd prize, Lennon Bistro voucher, was won by Maisy Byrne; 4th prize, Windsor Bar voucher, U Waddell; 5th Toolbox voucher Cahill Matthews; 6th Linda Rice, Toolfix voucher; 7th Leah Egan, Roma café voucher; 8th, handmade stool and wine, Mary Killary; 9th Joe McCabe €50; 10th Leagha O'Neill, Men's Shed handmade pen and bowl.
Dundalk Men's Shed chairman, Gene Yore, thanked Sean Browne, Gene Rice, and Chris Griffin, for the great skilful work they carried out in the making of the rocking horse.
