Knockbridge Tidy Towns Development Group have organised a scrap collection day on Saturday February 2, with Drummond's Knockbridge being the collection point.

Household items which will be accepted: Empty food and drink cans, Saucepans, non- plastic Kettles, toasters, electric cookers, washing machines, dishwashers, sink tops, ironing boards, radiators, solid fuel cookers, food mixers, metal fireplaces, bicycles, go carts, trampolines, swing frames, goal posts, steel oil tanks, metal coal buckets and bunkers, metal window frames, boilers, metal garden furniture, gas heaters and cookers, metal gutters, golf irons, clothes lines, copper, brass, aluminium, lead, electric cable, sheep wire, wire fencing. farm machinery, tractors and trailers, balers, hay making machines, mowers, ploughs, transport boxes, toppers, slurry tanks and agitators, gates, ring feeders, corrugated iron, railway tracks, barrels, wheel barrows, cement mixers, diggers, dozers, combine harvesters, binders, horse machinery, water pumps, electric motors, engine parts, milk tanks/machines/buckets/cans/coolers.

Items not accepted: televisions, gas cylinders, beer kegs, tyres. If you can't deliver your scrap please ring Marian on 087 2710716 and collection will be arranged. All proceeds go to Knockbridge Tidy Towns Development Group.


Classes in the Parish Centre continue each Monday at 8.30pm so come along and keep fit as well as enjoying lots of craic! Cost is €6 and no experience or partner necessary.

The Ladybirds meet on Wednesday evening in the St. Bride's Club House meeting rooms from 5.50pm to 6.50pm, the Brownies and the Girl Guides meet at 7.00pm until 8.30pm on the same evening

at this venue.


The 10th Louth Cuchulainn Cub Scout Group are looking at opening a Beaver Group so children of Beaver Age and Leaders are welcome to show interest in becoming members and should contact Teresa Short on 087 9771751.


Creche now open at Pugwash Bay on Saturday's from 9.30am until 1pm for children of 2.5 years of age and over at cost of €20 including snacks. After schools Christmas Arts and Crafts sessions now available on Saturday mornings from 9.30am until 1.00pm including snacks.
