Host of activities planned at harbour

The harbour at Carlingford will be a hive of activity for an RNLI fundraising day this coming Sunday, September 9th with a series of initiatives around water safety being planned.

The day will begin with a training exercise by Greenore Coastguard at 10am.

This will be followed by open water swim lessons for children, hosted by Infinity Swim and Channel Services.

The Lifeboat from Clogherhead RNLI will also be in the harbour.

Louth Fire & Rescue will be holding a recruitment event at the pier, with a fire tender on site.

Dundalk Sub Aqua Club will also have members in attendance, and are expected to demonstrate their diving skills.

Carlingford Sailing Club and Carlingford Swimmers; are hosting the event as a fund raising day in aid of the RNLI Lifeboats, with bucket collections around the pier.
