Friends and family join Brian to celebrate his 21st in style
ON FRIDAY night we headed for Upper Parkes where a 21st birthday party was taking place for Brian McKenna from Haggardstown and there to make sure he had an epic night were his parents Gerard McKenna and Tina Crosby, sister Claire, brother Jack, grandparents Ann and Matt Crosby from Dromiskin and Cassie and Gerry McKenna from Haggardstown and a big collection of family and friends.
I wasn't too long in the door when I met up with Brian who was in great form and ready to party with his mates David Breen from Haggardstown and Lorcan Finnegan from Bellurgan as well as Andy Cormican from Haggardstown and told me it was going to be a fantastic night.
I then headed over for a chat with Gary Clarke from Muirhevnamor who was with Brian's sister Claire who were both in great form and told me it was definitely going to be an epic night for sure.
Making my way over to another group I then got talking to aunty Laura McKenna from Haggardstown who was sitting with Brian's grandparents Cassie and Gerry who told me he was really enjoying the night, but the music would probably be best enjoyed from outside on the footpath in Park Street!
After this I headed over for a chat with Joe and Siobhan Breen from Haggardstown who are Brian's neighbours who joked that they are his adopted parents and Joe added than now that he's 21 he should be well able to feed himself!
I made my way over to another table where I caught up with Brian's uncle Niall McKenna from Haggardstown who was having a laugh with Brian's brother Jack and Alan Smyth also from Haggardstown who were all up for making the best of the birthday bash.
Making my way over to another table I got talking to Andrew Cormican from Haggardstown who was with Sabrina Shields from Muirhevnamor, Shane Cormican and Mark Quinn both from Haggardstown, Darren Woods from Lower Point Road, David Breen from Haggardstown and Alannah Owens from Hill View and David told me he is Brian's best mate and next door neighbour and assured me it was going to be a mental night for sure.
Not too long later I got a word with Sandra Doherty from Muirhevnamor and Denise Kelly from Ashbrook who are family friends and told me they were there to party and had already started into the strawberry daiquiris.
After this I headed over for a chat with Jamie Quinn from Ashling Park and Ann Quigley from Muirhevnamor who told me this was definitely going to be a brilliant party.
Not too long later I got a word with Stephen Ronan from Ashling Park who was with Ciara McCormack from St. Nicholas Avenue and Michael Cassidy from Mountain View who assured me it was going to be 'a serious night'.
They were then joined by Sean Monahan from Lennonstown Green who told me this was going to be an epic party.
Finally, before we departed I got talking to Paul Murphy from Faughart who was just after arriving in with Michael Boland and Keith McEneaney both from St. Nicholas Avenue who were going to dance their heads off and have a mad one!
