Fibro group meeting

Dundalk Fibro Support Group are holding their first meeting of 2014 on Wednesday, January 8, at 7.30 p.m. in the Community Information Centre, The Ramparts, Dundalk.

The group hopes that all their members had a wonderful pain-free Christmas and that the new year will be as good as the last, if not better. Looking forward to seeing new faces as well as old faces at meetings as this is a group that was set up for firbomyalgia sufferers, who are there to help each other throughout tough times and learn from the group what can benefit you the most.

On February 5, they will have a seminar on healthy eating habits and ways to relieve fibromyalgia symptoms.

For further details, contact Anne on (087) 9750899.

Dundalk's lottery luck which was a feature of 2013, continued into the new year, with a Euromillions winner last Friday in Grant's Newsagents, Dublin Street, scooping a prize of €84,690. The prize was the biggest Euromillions winner in Ireland in the latest draw.

An Omeath resident got a shock when they went to investigate a loud bang in their home at Cul na Mara on Saturday January 4. They found two males in their bedroom after hearing a noise at 10 p.m. Nothing was taken in the break-in.

A quantity of cash was taken from the rear office of Londis, Castletown Road, during a burglary on Saturday, January 4, at 7.30 p.m. Gardaí are following a line of inquiry.
